In a simply-connected domain \(D\) of the complex plane, there is considered an equation of the form \[ {\partial^nw\over \partial\overline z^n}= F \left(z;w; {\partial^{m+k}w \over\partial z^m\partial\overline z^k},\begin{matrix} n \geq m,k\in N_0, m+k\leq n,\\ (0,0)\neq(m,k) \neq(0,n)\end{matrix} \right) \] where the continuous function \(F\) has to satisfy certain conditions, \(n\neq\mathbb{N}\). First, starting with a representation of solutions for (1) by means of an \(n\)-th-order polyanalytical function \(\Phi\in W_{n,p}(D)\) \((2<p<\infty)\) and a generalized Cauchy-Pompeiu type singular integral operator applied to \(F\), existence and uniqueness of solutions corresponding to a prescribed \(\Phi\) are established by reducing the problem to a related system of integro-differential equations involving Calderón-Zygmund type singular integral operators and finally applying the Banach fixed-point theorem. (Cf. \textit{H. Begehr} and \textit{G. N. Hile} [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 27, No. 3, 669-706 (1997; Zbl 0902.30030)].) Then a generalized Riemann-Hilbert problem to equation (1) is solved by reducing it to a corresponding problem for polyanalytic functions of order \(n\) (i.e., for solutions of the special equation (1) with \(F=0)\). The latter problem is investigated by transforming it into \(n\) classial Riemann-Hilbert problems for analytic functions.
