The author deals with symmetry increasing bifurcations and considers the following question: Given a group \(\Gamma\), which of its subgroups \(\gamma\) are admissible in the sense that \(\gamma\)-symmetric attractors of a \(\Gamma\)-equivariant mapping may undergo a symmetry increasing bifurcation? In a previous work [Nonlinearity 8, 1039-1066 (1995; Zbl 0839.58041)] \textit{M. Dellnitz} and the author considered collisions taking place at precisely one reflection hyperplane. In this paper the author admits collisions at arbitrary reflection hyperplanes. Moreover, she also considers collisions which take place at points of trivial isotropy. Finally she gives a necessary and sufficient condition for admissibility of symmetry increasing bifurcations.
