Source-type solutions to porous medium equations with convection. II (Q1806244)

The authors study the existence and uniqueness of nonnegative source-type solutions to degenerate convection-diffusion equations \[ u_t+ (u^q)_x- (u^m)_{xx}=0 \text{ in }\mathbb{R} \times(0, +\infty) \] with initial data \(U(0)= M\delta\), \(M>0\), \(\delta\) is the Dirac mass and \(m>1\), \(q\in(1,m)\). The paper is a continuation of a previous paper of the same authors [Commun. Appl. Anal. 1, 489-502 (1997; Zbl 0894.35057)] dealing with the case when \(m>1\), \(q\geq m\).
