The book, written by world wide known specialists in the area, recalls recent developments in Iterative Learning Control (ILC) focusing on convergence and robustness. The authors present theoretical results but emphasise also practical aspects giving rich simulation material and discussing many application examples. The book in its theoretical track discusses among others: High order updating laws, Discrete time domain analysis, Use of the current iteration tracking error, Initial state learning, Terminal ILC, ILC design via noncausal filtering, ILC design via local symmetrical integral, IL identification. The practical application examples consist of: Rapid thermal processing chemical vapor deposition, Thickness control in wafer fabrication industry, Identification of aerodynamic drag coefficient curve and trajectory control in functional neuromuscular stimulation systems. The book may be recommended as a reference for researchers in systems and control related areas who wish to increase their knowledge of ILC. It can be used even as a course book for graduate students.
