The authors consider what they call pure geodetic angles, i.e., angles for which the squared trigonometric functions assume rational (or infinite) values. The term mixed geodetic angle is to mean a linear combination of pure geodetic angles with rational coefficients. Clearly, the mixed geodetic angles form a vector space over the rational numbers. An explicit basis of this space is given. These results are applied to the problem of equidecomposibility of polyhedra.
