      Some fixed point theorems for multivalued mappings are presented. The idea of Kuratowski measure of noncompactness of subsets of a metric space is utilized to get some interesting results. In the paper the author considers so-called \(k\)-set contractive, condensing, essential and hemicompact maps both in Banach and Fréchet spaces. Moreover, results concerning the approximation of fixed points for multivalued maps are obtained. The results presented in the paper may have fruitful applications in the theory of generalized differential equations, in particular in the theory of differential and integral inclusions. Also, the single-valued versions of the presented results are of some interest from theoretical point of view.
