From the author's presentation: A reliability measure of a computer network is deduced. The information theoretic preliminaries and the corresponding model are presented in s.2 and s.3. In s.4 it is proved that the probability \(p_i\) of failure of any computer system \(u_i\) in a reliable computer network design satisfies \(p_i< 1/2\). Otherwise, the network will not be diagnosable, and hence, will not be reliable.
