The main purpose of this paper is to extend \textit{V. G. Drinfeld}'s results in [Funct. Anal. Appl. 20, No. 1, 58-60 (1986; Zbl 0599.20049)] to the case \(l\geq n\). To be more precise, the author first shows the following without restriction \(l\geq n\): (1) The Drinfeld functor \(D_l\) sends the standard modules of the degenerate affine Hecke algebra \(H_l\) to zero or to the highest modules of \(Y({\mathfrak sl}_n)\); (2) The Drinfeld functor \(D_l\) sends the simple modules of \(H_l\) to zero or to the simple modules of the Yangian \(Y({\mathfrak sl}_n)\). It turns out that the highest weight modules obtained as the images of the standard modules are exactly the tensor products of the evaluation representations. Further, combining the above results with that of the representation theory of \(H_l\), the following is stated: (3) The multiplicity formula of \(Y({\mathfrak sl}_n)\) can be expressed in terms of the Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.
