The paper under review is concerned with a class of kicked nonlinear limit cycle oscillators. A spatially extended system is considered in which prototype circle maps are coupled in a unidimensional lattice, according to a coupling scheme that includes the global and local prescription as limiting cases. Frequency synchronization in the system was analyzed by investigating its behavior under variations of the coupling parameter.
