Some results on recurrence times in quasi-periodic motion and their generalization to the \(n\)-dimensional case are reformulated and rederived in a simple manner combining geometry and number-theoretic arguments. The case of recurrence in uniform quasi-periodic motion is considered. Using an alternative, more physically-oriented method the results of Lohöfer and Mayer are rederived. The dependence of recurrence times on the cell size and the intrinsic parameters is analyzed by extensive numerical investigation. The results are extended to high-dimensional tori.
