On the density of the discrete spectrum of the singular Sturm-Liouville operator. (Q1810073)

The author considers Sturm-Liouville singular operators. Under certain conditions, the minimal operator has deficiency indices, and the spectrum of its selfadjoint extension is discrete. The present work investigates the qualitative aspects of the spectrum of selfadjoint extensions of the operator. As a result of this work, the asymptotics of the distribution functions for the eigenvalues are obtained in the case of a discrete spectrum.
