The \(K\)-functional \(K_{r,\infty}(f,t)\) is defined for every \(2\pi\)-periodic continuous function \(f\) by the formula \[ K_{r,\infty}(f,t)=\inf \{\|f-g\|_C +t\|g^{(r)}\|_\infty\}, \] where the infimum is taken over all \(2\pi\)-periodic functions \(g\) that have an absolutely continuous \((r-1)\)th derivative with \(g^{(r)} \in L_\infty (0,2\pi)\). Let \(\Phi(t)\) be a positive function, monotone increasing on \([0, 2\pi]\), \(\Phi(0)=0\), and let \(C_K^r(\Phi)\) be the class of functions \(f\) for which \(K_{r,\infty}(f,t)\leq \Phi(t)\). Theorem 1. If \(\Phi(t)/t\) is monotone decreasing on \([0, 2\pi]\), then for any natural \(n\) \[ w_{2n-1}(C_K^r(\Phi), C[0,2\pi])=\Phi ({\mathcal K}_rn^{-r}), \] where \(w\) stands for any of the Kolmogorov, Gel'fand, or trigonometric widths and \({\mathcal K}_r\) is the Favard constant. A similar result is established for the space \(L_1[0,2\pi]\).
