Let \(M\) be a complex manifold of even dimension \(2n\). A \(\partial\)-symplectic structure on \(M\) is a smooth 2-form \(\omega\) of type \((2,0)\) such which is \(\partial\) closed (i.e., \(\partial \omega =0\)) and \(\omega ^n\) is nowhere vanishing. In the paper under review, the authors prove a Darboux-type theorem for these structures. More precisely, given a \(\partial\)-symplectic form \(\omega\) of class \(C^\infty\) on \(M\), there exist smooth complex-valued functions \(f_1,\ldots ,f_{2n}\) such that \(\omega =\partial f_1\wedge \partial f_2+ \ldots +\partial f_{2n-1}\wedge \partial f_{2n}\). Moreover, they also present a version of this result for \(\partial\)-contact structures. The motivation for studying these kind of structures come from their relation with local Lie algebras [\textit{A. A. Kirillov}, Russ. Math. Surv. 31, 55--75 (1976; Zbl 0357.58003)], since their results allow them to classify interesting subclasses of complex local Lie algebras.
