The author studies the autonomous third-order nonlinear differential equation \[ f'''+ {m+1\over 2} f\cdot f''- mf^{\prime 2}= 0\quad \text{on }(0,\infty) \] with the boundary conditions \[ f(0)= a\in \mathbb{R}^1,\quad f'(0)= 1,\quad f'(t)\to 0\quad\text{as }t\to\infty. \] He proves results on existence or nonexistence, uniqueness or nonuniqueness in dependence on the real parameter \(m\).
