The authors exhibit two fundamental Tauberian theorems of Wiener type in the context of Sato's Fourier hyperfunctions [\textit{A. Kaneko}, Introduction to hyperfunctions. Dordrecht: Kluwer (1988; Zbl 0687.46027)]. In particular, let \(\varphi\in\mathfrak{P}_\ast\) be a test function for the Fourier hyperfunctions, i.e., an exponentially decreasing, real analytic function, and \(c\) a measurable function on \(\mathbb{R}^n\) satisfiying certain bounds on its asymptotic rate of variation. If furthermore the Fourier transform of \(\varphi\) fulfills a growth condition then, if a Fourier hyperfunction \(f\in\mathfrak{Q}\) on \(\mathbb{R}^n\) satisfies \[ \lim_{h\rightarrow\infty} \frac{(f\ast\varphi)(x+h)}{c(h)}=\langle A, \varphi\rangle \] for a constant \(A\), and where the limit holds in the sense of hyperfunctions, then this limiting relation holds for every other test function \(\lambda\in\mathfrak{P}_\ast\), i.e., \[ \lim_{h\rightarrow\infty} \frac{(f\ast\lambda)(x+h)}{c(h)}=\langle A, \lambda\rangle. \] Under some additional conditions this relation is also found to hold in the sense of scalars.
