A scheme for interpolation with Bernstein-Bézier polynomials on the sphere is proposed. The splines are continuously differentiable. In applications of computer-aided geometric design it is always important to be able to remove knots from a given curve while keeping it within a prescribed tolerance from the original design. This knot removal is addressed in this paper too, and several computational examples are given.
