Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field and \(\Lambda\) a finite dimensional basic and connected \(k\)-algebra. We say that a \(k\)-algebra \(\Lambda'\) of the form \(\Lambda'={\Lambda\;M\choose 0\;k}\) is a one-point extension of \(\Lambda\) by the \(\Lambda\)-module \(M\). Let \(\Lambda'\) be tame and \(M\) an indecomposable pre-injective \(\Lambda\)-module. Let \(\mathcal T\) be the pre-injective component of the Auslander-Reiten quiver \(\Gamma_ \Lambda\) of \(\Lambda\), where \(M\) lies. If the orbit quiver \({\mathcal O}_ \tau({\mathcal T})\) is a tree, (\(\tau\) denoting the Auslander- Reiten translation in \(\Gamma_ \Lambda\)) and \(\dim\text{Hom}_ k(M,N)\leq 1\) for all indecomposable \(\Lambda\)-modules \(N\), then \(\Lambda'\) is tame if and only if the Tits form \(q_ \Lambda\) is a weakly-non negative quadratic form, i.e. \(q_ \Lambda(Z)\geq 0\) for all integral vectors with non negative coordinates.
