Generalizing a theorem of Sierpiński, the author shows that if \((X,{\mathcal C})\) is a perfect category base, \(X\) a dense-in-itself complete metric space, then for any given sequence of Baire sets there exists in each abundant Baire set a denumerable subset which cannot be represented as the limit of any subsequence of the given sequence.
