Generalizations of Nakayama ring. VII: Hereditary rings (Q1813920)

[For part VI see ibid. 24, 785-815 (1987; Zbl 0636.16011).] The author has studied left serial rings with \((*,1)\) or \((*,2)\) in Parts IV and V, respectively [ibid. 24, 139-145 (1987; Zbl 0636.16010); 373-389 (1987; Zbl 0624.16010)], as a generalization of Nakayama rings (generalized uniserial rings). In this note the author replaces the assumption ``left serial'' by ``hereditary'', and gives characterizations of an Artinian hereditary ring with \((*,n)\) in terms of the structure of \(R\), \(n\leq 3\). Moreover, another type of hereditary algebra over an algebraically closed field is studied.
