A finite difference scheme for the numerical solution of a class of nonlinear parabolic systems of the form \[ \frac{\partial}{\partial t}v+\frac{\partial}{\partial x}f(v)+\frac{\partial}{\partial y}g(v)+\frac{\partial}{\partial z}h(v)= D\Delta v \] is considered. Under certain assumptions on the initial data, global solvability of the scheme is proved using energy estimates. It is shown that the error is \(O(\Delta x|\ln \Delta x|)\) for all positive times in an appropriate norm.
