Calculation of the addition coefficients in electromagnetic multisphere-scattering theory (Q1815954)

The author considers the addition theorems for vector spherical harmonics when there are a number of scattering spheres in terms of Gaunt coefficients. He discusses recurrence schemes for the coefficients and compares work of Stein, Cruzan and Mackowski. The results of calculations of the coefficients are given for a number of special cases, and it is suggested that the methods used by the author result in a considerable decrease in the computing time.
