The author systematizes some concepts and results of his previous works [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 62, No. 1, 111-114 (1994; Zbl 0826.06011); ibid. 66, No. 3, 315-327 (1994; Zbl 0844.06007); ibid. 72, No. 2, 197-204 (1995; Zbl 0844.06008)] in the context of BCI-algebras. In particular, if \(Z\) is an MV-algebra, then he shows that a fuzzy ideal \(\nu\) of \(Z\) is fuzzy implicative, prime, essential, weakly essential and maximal iff the MV-ideal \(Z_{\nu} = \{x \in Z : \nu(x) = \nu(0)\}\) has the respective non-fuzzy property. Moreover, if \(X\) is a quasi-commutative BCI-algebra, the author proves a one-to-one correspondence between the set of the fuzzy closed ideals of \(X\) and the set of the fuzzy congruences of \(X\).
