The author studies the mixed convection boundary-layer flow over a wedge with suction or injection. Particular attention is paid to the effect of a magnetic field which is transverse to the flow. The fluid is assumed to be viscous, incompressible and electrically conducting. The governing equations are solved numerically using an efficient solution scheme for local nonsimilar boundary-layer analysis. The main conclusions are: the temperature of the fluid increases in the presence of magnetic field; the frictional drag from the edge surface increases when the magnetic field increases; the heat transfer from the edge surface to the fluid increases when the magnetic field increases.
