The vibration of a thermoelastic plate in a large static magnetic field (Q1819607)

The electromagnetic thermomechanical (EMTM) vibration modes in homogeneous, initially unstressed and isotropic electrically conductive plate in a static magnetic field is investigated. Since our interest lies primarily with the motion of the plate, the electrical behaviour will be assumed to be quasi-stationary while the mechanical behaviour is dynamical. Frequency equations are obtained for both symmetric and antisymmetric waves. The roots of the frequency equations are computed numerically.
