A mathematical model is described which generalizes fuzzy information to adopt to a new situation. Preferences of experts are realized by means of a set of criteria which can be described in terms of a linguistic variable. The model is able to modify a priori linguistic rules obtained from an expert. The corrected rules confirm the choice of the decision- maker.
