In the previous paper [Math., Z. 181, 253-268 (1982; Zbl 0487.46045)] the author proved that any trace on a reversible JW-algebra can be extended to a trace on its enveloping \(W^*\)-algebra in a way preserving such properties of the trace as normality, faithfulness, finiteness and semifiniteness. In the present paper it is proved that the restriction of any semifinite trace on the enveloping \(W^*\)-algebra \({\mathfrak A}(A)\) of a reversible JW-algebra A is a semifinite trace on A. The problem of the uniqueness of the extension is also considered. It is shown that the extension of any trace (resp. any normal semifinite trace) on a purely real JW-algebra (resp. locally modular JW-algebra) A is unique if and only if A doesn't have a direct summand isomorphic to the self-adjoint part of a \(W^*\)- algebra.
