A multisymplectic description of the Einstein-generalized Born-Infeld theory (Q1820482)

The author formulates the theory describing the generalized Born-Infeld nonlinear electrodynamics interacting with the gravitational (Einstein) field in terms of multisymplectic geometry. As a first step, the Lagrangian formulation is outlined. Field equations, primary constraints and contracted Bianchi identities are presented together with the formulation of the initial value problem. Then, the theory is completely rewritten in the multisymplectic form and the geometrical objects are split into quantities connected with 3-D hypersurface. The geometrical interpretation is discussed.
