The authors describe conformal families of primary and quasiprimary fields. It is pointed out that there exists a conserved primary (spin tensor) current in each of the minimal theories. The main results of the paper are the construction of quasiprimary composite fields and the derivation of operator product expansions in conformally invariant two- dimensional quantum field theory models. The possible relevance of these constructions for four-dimensional conformal quantum field theory is discussed.
