A linearly compact ring R is called: 1) primary, if the factor ring R/J by its quasiregular radical J is the ring of endomorphisms of a vector space over a division ring. 2) topologically artinian, if for every open left ideal V the factor module R/V is artinian. 3) topologically noetherian, if for every open left ideal V the factor module R/V is noetherian. In the paper necessary and sufficient conditions are found for a topologically artinian ring R to be decomposed into a topological direct product of primary rings (for compact rings this was done by \textit{K. Numakura} [Math. J. Okayama Univ. 5, 103-113 (1956; Zbl 0070.270); theorem 2.1, p. 106]. Necessary and sufficient conditions are indicated for a topologically noetherian ring (R,T) such that the ring (R,T'), where T' is the Leptin topology equivalent to T, is decomposed as a topological product of topologically noetherian primary rings.
