The paper states precisely the dependence (formulas) between fuzzy subgroups and bounded length functions [cf. \textit{D. L. Wilkens}, J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 22, 439-448 (1980; Zbl 0448.20037)] in a given group. The formulas presented connect a fuzzy group and a length function with the same chain of level subgroups.
