The flip-flop process associated with the dynamics of chaotic systems with two attracting basins is discussed. \textit{Y. Aizawa}, Global aspects of dissipative dynamical systems. Prog. Theor. Phys. 68, 64-84 (1982), declared that for the special case of Lorenz systems and special parameter values the generated flip-flop series was a typical Markov process. The authors of the present paper conclude that for other parameters and for other attractors the system behavior sharply differs from that of a Markov chain. Finally the nature of chaotic processes and how far they can approach Markov processes is studied.
