Local controllability for a certain class of nonlinear multidimensional discrete-time dynamical systems is studied. It is assumed that the functions on the right-hand side of the nonlinear difference equations are locally Lipschitzian. Using the concept of the generalized Jacobian and the inverse function theorem [\textit{F. H. Clarke}, Pac. J. Math. 64, 97-102 (1976; Zbl 0331.26013)], several sufficient conditions for local controllability and local reachability in finite steps are obtained and proved. The results presented in the paper are generalizations of the results previously given by \textit{L. Weiss} [SIAM J. Control 10, 230-251 (1972; Zbl 0238.93007)].
