Non-singular integral operators with arbitrary measurable kernels are considered. Conditions on measure spaces assuring completeness of proper domains are studied. Relative domains, proper and extended, are introduced and appropriate results concerning continuity and maximality of extensions of integral operators are proved. Compatibility of these extensions with extensions in the sense of distributions is established. Relative extended domains are characterized in terms of classical notions of perfect boundedness and subseries convergence.
