    We study the convergence of the generalized solutions of the first boundary-value problem in rectangle \(Q=\{(t,x):\) \(0<t\leq T\), \(0<x<l\}\) for parabolic equations \[ (1^ m)\quad d^ m(x,u)u_ t = a^ m(t,u_ x)u_{xx}+b^ m(t,x,u,u_ x),\quad m=1,2,..., \] with boundary conditions \[ (2^ m)\quad u(0,x)=u^ m_ 0(x),\quad (3^ m)\quad u(t,0)=u^ m_ 1(t),\quad u(t,l)=u^ m_ 2(t) \] to the solution \(u^{\infty}(t,x)\) of the ''limiting'' problem \((1^{\infty})\), \((2^{\infty})\), \((3^{\infty})\), which we shall characterize by the symbol ''\(\infty ''\) in the coefficients of the equation and in the initial and boundary data. The coefficients of equations \((1^ m)\) will be assumed to be weakly convergent in \(L_ 2\) as \(m\to \infty\) to the corresponding coefficients of equation \((1^{\infty})\).
