The author proves the weak-type inequalities for the maximal functions of a measure \(\nu\) with respect to a measure \(\mu\), a generalization of the classical Hardy-Littlewood maximal function. Some conditions for the measure \(\nu\) are given in order to be absolutely continuous (singular) relative to the measure \(\mu\).
