Zur Stabilität von \(C_ 0\)-Halbgruppen (Q1822331)

It is shown that for a \(C_ 0\)-semigroup with generator A on a Banach space, exponential norm stability (precisely, the relation \(\omega _ 0(A)=s(A))\) is closely related to a relation of the domain D(A) with the range of the operators \((e^{\omega _ 0t}-T_ t)\). Second, the relation \(\omega _ 0(A)=s(A)\) is shown to be valid for all positive, formally symmetric semigroups on spaces \(L^ p(\mu)\) \((1\leq p<+\infty)\).
