Using the Lagrange identity method combined with the weight function method theorems of uniqueness and continuous dependence of solutions of initial boundary problems, on initial data and thermoelastic coefficients, are proved within the framework of the linear theory of thermoelasticity. The analysis concerns bounded and half-unbounded regions, as well as unbounded regions exterior to the bounded ones. No restrictions on the thermoelastic coefficients are imposed except the positiveness of the conductivity tensor.
