Let \(H^ 2(\Pi^+)\) be the Hardy space of all functions analytic in the upper half-plane such that \[ \| F\|^ 2_ 2:=\sup_{y>0}\int^{\infty}_{-\infty}| F(x+iy)^ 2 dx<\infty. \] For a function \(f\in H^ 2(\Pi^+)\) let \(F(z)=\sum^{\infty}_{n=0}a_ n(z-i)^ n\) be its Taylor expansion in \(z_ 0=i\). By using the Cauchy integral formula for F, one obtains \[ a_ n=a(n)=(2\pi i)^{-1}\int^{\infty}_{-\infty}(t-i)^{-n-i} f(t)dt, \] where f(t) is the \(L^ 2({\mathbb{R}})\) boundary function of F. The author now proves the following result: If \(b(z)=i^{-z}a(z)\), where \[ a(z)=(2\pi i)^{-1}\int^{\infty}_{-\infty}(t-i)^{-z-1} f(t)dt, \] then, for suitable chosen branches of the logarithms, b is analytic in Re z\(>-\) and satisfies the following growth condition: \[ \int^{\infty}_{-\infty}| b(-+i\tau)|^ 2 e^{-\pi | \tau |}d\tau \leq C\| f\|^ 2_ 2. \] Former results of this type have been obtained by \textit{E. M. Stein} and \textit{S. Wainger} [Ark. Mat. 5, 553-567 (1965; Zbl 0147.329)].
