Approximately solving the Cauchy problem for the wave equation by the method of differential operators of infinite order (Q1825012)

The authors consider the Cauchy problem for the wave equation and present a new method for finding an approximate solution for such equation. The proposed method is based on the nonformal algebra of differential operators of infinite order in corresponding Sobolev spaces of infinite order. It is shown that using the proposed method one can obtain an approximate solution with arbitrary accuracy.
