Let \(M\) be a given real quadratic field. The purpose of this paper is to give an algorithm for determining all dihedral quartic fields \(K\) with mixed signatur having power integral bases and containing \(M\) as a subfield. Let \(D_M\), \(D_K\) be respectively the discriminants of \(K\) and \(M\). \textit{A. C. Kable} [Power integral bases in dihedral quartic fields, J. Number Theory 76, 120--129 (1999; Zbl 0934.11051)] proved that \(| D_K| \leq 4D^3_M\). The algorithm of the prsent paper is based on this inequality and on results from previous work of the first named author with \textit{A. Pethő} and \textit{M. Pohst} [J. Symb. Comput. 16, 563--584 (1993; Zbl 0808.11023); J. Number Theory 57, 90--104 (1996; Zbl 0853.11023], which provide one with a method for deciding whether or not a given element of \(K\) generates an integral power basis.
