Let \(P\) be a polytope, \(F(P)\) the poset of its faces, including \(P\) and \(\emptyset\). Let \(\tilde F(P)\) denote the poset obtained from \(F(P)\) by adding a new element \(\infty\) bigger than any proper face but not comparable to \(P\). Given a diagram \(Y: F(P)\rightarrow Top_{*}\) the author studies the question of homotopy finiteness of the suspension of the total cofibre \(\Sigma\Gamma (Y).\) The total cofibre \(\Gamma (Y)\) of the diagram \(Y: F(P)\rightarrow Top_{*}\) is defined as the homotopy colimit:\quad \(\Gamma (Y)=hocolim_{\tilde F (P)}{\tilde Y}.\) In general the total cofibre is not homotopy equivalent to a finite \(CW\)-complex. Let \(X_P\) be the projective toric variety associated with \(P.\) The author proves that when \(Y\) is a locally finite nonlinear sheaf on \(X_P\) then \(\Sigma\Gamma (Y)\) is homotopy equivalent to a finite \(CW\)-complex.
