A parallelotope is a convex polytope that tiles \({\mathbb R}^n\) by translation. Given a set \(L\) of points in \({\mathbb R}^n\), the Voronoi polytope of the point \(x\in L\) is the set of points of \({\mathbb R}^n\) that are at least as close to \(x\) as to any other point of \(L\). \textit{G. Voronoi} [J. Reine Angew.\ Math.\ 134, 198--287 (1908; JFM 39.0274.01) and ibid. 136, 67--178 (1909; JFM 40.0267.17)] conjectured that every \(n\)-parallelotope is affinely equivalent to the Voronoi polytope of a point in some lattice in \({\mathbb R}^n\). This paper proves that various conditions on an \(n\)-parallelotope \(P\) are each equivalent to Voronoi's conjecture holding for \(P\).
