Verf. zeigt, daß eine quaternäre quadratische Form auf eine im allgemeinen eindeutige Weise in eine Summe folgender drei Formen zu zerlegen ist: (1) \(e(x^2+y^2+z^2 + t^2)\); (2) eine Form, die durch eine orthogonale Transformation die Gestalt \(q(x^2 + y^3 - z^2 - t^2)\) erhalten kann; (3) \((ax + by + cz + dt)^2\).
