The magnetohydrodynamic equations for a fully ionized hydrogen-helium plasma in the presence of electromagnetic fields have been derived using the Chapman-Enskog method. The electron and ion transport coefficients are found as functions of the electron and ion temperatures and number densities as well as the magnetic field. It is shown that the motion of a multicomponent plasma in the presence of the temperature gradients and magnetic fields leads to the occurrence of chemical inhomogeneities.
