The integral of Weber and Schaftheitlin \(\int_0^{\infty}J_{\mu}(at)J_{\nu}(bt)t^{-\rho} dt\) is discontinuous for \(a=b\). In [\textit{T. H. Koornwinder} and \textit{R. F. Swarttouw}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 333, 445--461 (1992; Zbl 0759.33007)] a \(q\)-analogue was given in terms of the so-called Hahn-Exton \(q\)-Bessel function. This \(q\)-analogue is written in terms of Jackson's \(q\)-integral \(\int_0^{\infty}f(t) d_qt:=(1-q)\sum_{k=-\infty}^{\infty}f(q^k)q^k\). Therefore the (dis)continuity question does not arise because of the discrete domains. In the paper under review the author looks for another \(q\)-analogue that is not restricted to discrete domains. The main result of the paper is an explicit evaluation of the integral \(\int_0^{\infty}J_{\mu}^{(2)}(a(1-q)t;q)J_{\nu}^{(1)}(b(1-q)t;q)t^{-\rho} dt\) in terms of two different \(q\)-analogues of the Bessel function due to Jackson. In this case the question of discontinuity for \(a=b\) turns out to be somewhat irrelevant. Because of the two different \(q\)-Bessel functions the integral is no longer unchanged if \(a\) and \(b\) as well as \(\mu\) and \(\nu\) are interchanged. The evaluation of the integral is obtained by using a product formula for the two \(q\)-Bessel functions for which a representation is derived in terms of an iterated Askey-Wilson integral. Finally, some interesting special cases are mentioned and a section on \(q\)-Lommel functions is added. These \(q\)-Lommel functions arise in the \(q\)-Neumann series expansion of a function in terms of \(q\)-Bessel functions.
