Weakly elliptic systems with obstacle constraints. III: Complex eigenvalues and singular systems (Q1840573)

[For part I see \textit{D. R. Adams}, IMA Vol. Math. Appl. 42, 1-14 (1992; Zbl 0852.35054) and for part II see \textit{D. R. Adams} and \textit{H. J. Nussenzweig Lopes}, Ann. Mat. Pura Appl., IV. Ser. 169, 183-201 (1995; Zbl 0855.35048).] The author uses eigenfunction expansions combined with the penalty method to provide sharp conditions to ensure the existence of solutions to some weakly elliptic system subjected to obstacle constraints. Application to control theory are given.
