The aim of this paper is to study the concept of isolated submodule and the related concepts of honest submodule and relatively divisible submodule for unital right \(R\)-modules, where \(R\) is an associative ring with identity. If \(Q\) is a subset of \(R\) that strictly contains 0, then a submodule \(B\) of a right \(R\)-module \(A\) is said to be \(Q\)-isolated (or \(Q\)-superhonest) in \(A\) if \(0\neq q\in Q\), \(x\in A\), and \(xq\in B\) imply \(x\in B\). In a standard way, one defines the \(Q\)-honest operator and the \(Q\)-isolated operator in the lattice of all submodules of a given \(R\)-module \(A\). The authors present then a series of simple properties of these operators. Reviewer's remark: The term of \(Q\)-saturated submodule, coming from modules of fractions, seems to be more appropriate than that of \(Q\)-isolated or \(Q\)-superhonest submodule.
