The so-called multidomain decomposition-dual reciprocity method (MD-DRM) boundary element technique is a combination of dual reciprocity method for transforming domain integrals into equivalent boundary integrals, and the domain decomposition method. In this paper, the authors propose an improvement of MD-DRM by introducing a mass conserving interpolation scheme for approximation of convective terms appearing in the domain integrals of boundary element formulation of Navier-Stokes equations, additionally to traditional mathematical interpolation. In this way, a higher accuracy and overall efficiency of the method is achieved in solving Navier-Stokes equations at moderate Reynolds numbers. This is demonstrated by showing comparative results for driven cavity benchmark problem.
