This article is concerned with definitions of convergence for spaces of functions of compact subsets of \(\mathbb{R}^2\) and compactness properties of these spaces. The function spaces are defined in terms of finite partitions of the subset, with the functions being continuous in the interior of each cell of the partition. Two compactness results are stated, Theorem 3.14, that a generalization of equicontinuity implies compactness, and Theorem 4.20 which has a hypothesis on the structure of discontinuity sets. It is suggested that these results apply to image processing.
