Let \(u\) be a solution of the elliptic-sinh Gordon equation (a) \(u_{w \overline{w}}+ \text{sinh } u=0\) on a simply-connected domain \(\Omega\in \mathbb{C}\). There is an algorithm that associates an immersion \(i: \Omega\to \mathbb{R}^ 3\) to \(u\) with constant mean curvature \({1\over 2}\). Conversely, every constant mean curvature immersion yields a solution \(u\) of equation (a). One can associate quasi-periodic solutions of equation (a) on \(\mathbb{R}^ 2\) to hyperelliptic curves \(X\). There is a necessary and sufficient condition that \(X\) yields constant mean curvature tori in \(\mathbb{R}^ 3\). In this paper, the existence of curves \(X\) fulfilling this condition is proved for genus\((X)\) arbitrary.
